Choteau Preschool Receives Grant

The Trinity Lutheran Church Preschool in Choteau was recently awarded a $2,000 Community Enhancement Grant by 3 Rivers Communications. The Preschool has been serving Choteau for over 40 years and facilitated thirty-six children in the last school year.

The grant helped fund replacement of old playground equipment, which was no longer sturdy and did not meet current safety guidelines. The surface area under the equipment also needed to be updated to meet standards. The new equipment is commercial grade and meets all requirements.

“Making changes that keep the children safe must be done,” said Eva Anseth, Secretary/Treasurer of the Preschool. “Play is an important part of the Preschool student’s day. In this day and age of structured activities, even for preschoolers, (the playground equipment) can provide a chance for children to just be children and have fun.

”Dave Gibson, 3 Rivers’ CEO/GM stated, “3 Rivers is committed to giving back to our rural communities by helping to fund projects like this. We are a member-owned cooperative, and it’s part of our mission to help improve the areas we serve while working towards bringing fiber optics to every home and business we serve.”

3 Rivers’ Community Enhancement Grant program was established to help promote the well-being of our members and the communities it serves. Funds are awarded to nonprofit community or civic organizations for projects that benefit the entire community.
