Twin Bridges High School’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter was recently awarded a $10,000 Youth Technology Grant by 3 Rivers Communications. BPA members participate in activities that offer opportunities for growth through education, competition, community service and personal development.
Twin Bridges BPA’s Broadcast News Team is a past national champion in digital production. This grant allowed the BPA to purchase video-editing laptops and a high definition video camera to help them remain competitive at the national level.
“This is remarkable for a rural school,” said Twin Bridges BPA advisor Jodi Sandru. “Our success continues to grow and propel students’ confidence,” she added.
Dave Gibson, 3 Rivers’ CEO/GM stated, “We are happy to build on our past support of the BPA. As 3 Rivers works towards bringing fiber optics to every home and business we serve, we remain committed to giving back to our rural communities by funding projects like this.”
3 Rivers’ Youth Technology Grant program provides funding for projects that benefit the youth of communities we serve by enhancing access to, or increasing knowledge and use of, technology in specific measurable ways.
