Fairfield School Programing on 3RTV!

Fairfield School Programming airs Thursday, 5/23 on 3RTV Channel 10:

6 pm Freshmen Orientation

6:30 pm Missoula Children’s Theatre Friday Production of “The Wizard of Oz”

8 pm Inge Auerbacher (Holocaust Survivor)

Programs will be repeated at the same times on Friday, 5/24 with the Saturday production of “The Wizard of Oz” airing in place of Friday production.

Long Distance Calling Issues

3 Rivers has reported previously about customers having difficulty receiving and completing long distance phone calls for some time. This is a national problem, not related specifically to 3 Rivers’ network. The FCC concluded that certain long distance carriers are deliberately not completing calls in higher cost rural areas as a way to avoid paying terminating carriers (where you live, that’s 3 Rivers). Recently one provider has reached a settlement with the FCC regarding such practices.

It’s Our 60th Anniversary!

3 Rivers is celebrating the 60th Anniversary as your telecommunications cooperative at our annual meeting this year, to be held March 18 at the Community Hall in Fairfield (details are in the latest issue of Currents). As usual, there will be plenty of gifts and door prizes given out at the meeting, but if you can’t make it, we will be drawing ten member’s names at random who will receive a $60 gift certificate towards their 3 Rivers bill.

Sun Spots to Cause TV Disruptions

Due to sun spot activity beginning February 28, TV viewers (3RTV customers and non-3RTV customers alike) will see degraded quality signals or brief outages on some channels each day through March 6. This disruption will last approximately 10 minutes. These outages will occur between 11:50 a.m. and 3:20 p.m., depending on the channel.
