Madison Valley Arts Festival
Remember the date! Mark your calendar for the 18th Annual Madison Valley Arts Festival on Saturday, August 10 from 10am to 4pm. This fun event will be held at the tree-shaded Peter T.’s Park, in historic downtown Ennis.
Artists from Montana as well as nearby states will be offering their quality work at this juried event. Items offered will include paintings, pottery, furniture, stained glass, jewelry, photography, forged iron, fiber and gourd art, among others.
In addition to the 45 arts and crafts booths, there will be delicious and healthy refreshments, a “meet the author” book signing, children’s face painting, 50/50 cash raffle, and live entertainment by the talented Ennis Community Band, the popular local Tune Tanglers group, and our own traveling accordion player, Jan Beekman. This annual festival, sponsored by the Ennis Arts Association, will also include a raffle of several donated art pieces. They include: framed print by Cathy Toot, table runner by Deborah Gregg, hand painted tote bag by Patsy Eckert, acrylic painting on wood by Sherril Gold, and a lamp with ceramic shade by Sherri Jarvis. An Ennis Arts Association member’s Gallery Booth will also display additional art for sale. The generous use of the park is courtesy of the First Madison Valley Bank of Ennis. All proceeds from the festival will aid the Ennis Arts Association in local promotion of the arts.
The Virginia City Art Show will also take place, “over the hill”, in Virginia City. Take a drive to the beautiful Madison Valley on August 10th for an enjoyable day of art and festivities!
