This class will provide an overview of your computer with the basic functions and programs to help you understand how things work and how to navigate the internet. Email is the primary mode of communication for many businesses and individuals. Learn how to set up an email account, how to create a contact list, send emails with attachments, create storage folders, and how to change your mail settings.
10:30 a.m. – Noon • Windows 10
Windows 10 is out and free to download for current Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 users. If you are currently running Windows 8, or Windows 8.1 be sure to download this update - you will not regret it. Schedule an hour to two hours to let your machine run the download and set up. Then come learn how to navigate this new operating system. There are some really great new features that are worth taking the time to learn to use!
1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. • Internet Security
The Internet has opened a wide new world of communication. It makes so many things possible from visiting with friends and family, to doing research, to online banking. All of these things are great, but also require some safety precaution to safeguard your identity. Learn some basic do’s and don’ts to protect yourself when you are online.
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. • Devices
Open Forum. If you are interested in learning about the different devices or already have one and want to learn more. Bring your Kindle, Nook, iPad, or android tablet. You will have time to ask questions and explore your device with the instructor.
